Knitting Expert Tricks - This class is exclusive to the Naked Sheep
There are 8 commonly used methods for casting on – why are some better than others? There are at least 6 different methods for increasing – which should you use in your project? And what’s the best decrease? The right choices can make the knitting easier, and radically improve the look of your finished pieces. Suitable for advanced beginner or intermediate knitters, this session provides tips and techniques for choosing the best method for any situation.

Fixing Mistakes

Magic Loop It!
Tired of fiddling around with all those floppy DPNs? Tired of looking at those ladders created at the ends/beginnings of DPNs? Want to learn a new technique that will eliminate these issues? Sounds like you need to learn how to Magic Loop! Sarah will teach you how to cast on and knit using one long circular needle. You can magic loop anything circular – socks, sleeves, blankets or shawls! Participants need to know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.

Crochet Project Class
Are you ready to try an in-depth crochet project, but the patterns and techniques required are a bit intimating? Let our crochet guru guide you through the pattern, explain all the instructions and help you finish a successful project. On the first day, please bring the pattern you want to make and we will help you pick out the yarn you need. This is a five week course, which will require you to complete ‘homework’ between sessions.

In this 2 session class you will learn a number of tips and techniques to move yourself beyond the scarf!  Learn about gaugue and why it's important how to increase, decrease, ribbing and seed stitch. We will also help you identify and fix common mistakes.

Needle felting is the perfect way to get yourself a quick and easy fiber fix. This dry felting method allows you to make three dimensional shapes, as well as add embellishment to a wooly garment. In this class we will explore the different ways needle felting can be used as well as the techniques involved in creating your own felted artwork.

Knit a Beret!
In this class you will learn how to knit a very IN at the moment chunky beret. This is a great project for those beginners wanting a challenge. You will learn how to increase and seam your beret. We have chosen a free pattern from the internet and carry quite very yarns and colours for you to choose from. Participants must know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.

Finishing
This two hour workshop teaches all the key skills for assembling and finishing your knitting projects: seaming, picking up stitches for necklines, weaving in ends, and the advantages and disadvantages of various cast-off techniques.  The focus will be very much on making finishing as quick and painless as possible - we'll share all the cheats and shortcuts we know.  We'll also demystify blocking and talk about the proper care of your knits.
